Revolutionizing Indonesian Agritech
Developed by MSMB Indonesia, RiTX is a pioneering mobile application designed to act as an interactive daily guide to help farmers maximize their harvest yields. The platform solves critical agricultural challenges by gathering real-time environmental metrics from soil, water, and air sensors, which are then processed through a machine learning engine to deliver personalized daily recommendations directly to the field. As visualized in the design showcase mobile app design, the user interface is structured to transform complex automated data into practical, straightforward farming habits.
The core UI/UX strategy specifically addresses the fact that most traditional Indonesian farmers are unfamiliar with digital technology and naturally prefer ancestral farming techniques. To break down these technological barriers, the design team focused on a radical simplification of the account registration process and the exclusive integration of localized agricultural terms that farmers easily understand. This deliberate simplification ensures that users of any digital literacy level can effortlessly register, seamlessly record their daily field activities, and immediately execute the app’s smart recommendations.
To ground this design system in reality, the product workflow was built around the user persona of Paiman, a 40-year-old rice farmer from Magelang who represents a new generation seeking effective ways to maximize a 1-hectare plot using his smartphone. The creative team brought this to life using a rigorous design methodology that moved from data gathering and direct interviews during the discovery and research phases, to wireframing, prototyping, and layout brainstorming. The resulting interface, detailed across the extensive screen layouts in mobile app design, establishes an incredibly high standard for accessible, life-changing B2C agritech design.
